Meet the Crew

Jason Harlow

Founder and Guitarist.

Music promoter, entrepreneur, certified guitar shredder—and proud nerd. Jason has been performing for over 35 years, but he’s not just the guy behind the madness on stage. He’s also the brains behind the software that powers Five Minute Famous, proving that his riffs aren’t the only thing he can engineer. Whether he’s coding late at night or cranking out solos under the spotlight, Jason thrives on turning big ideas into unforgettable experiences.

“I didn’t choose karaoke life… karaoke life chose me.”

Ben Sneed

Host / Guitarist

Ben is the ultimate ringmaster of the karaoke circus—equal parts entertainer, guitarist, and hype man. A multi‑instrumentalist with a knack for keeping the crowd buzzing, he makes sure every show feels like a party you never want to leave. Whether he’s ripping a solo, cracking a joke, or coaxing shy singers into the spotlight, Ben’s energy is the spark that keeps the night electric.

“I treat every karaoke night like it’s Madison Square Garden—minus the overpriced hot dogs.”

Leah Harlow

Business Manager

Leah is the glue that keeps the gears turning and the band from wandering off into chaos. She’s the one making sure the lights stay on, the schedules make sense, and that Jason doesn’t accidentally book three shows in one night. With a sharp eye for detail and a knack for wrangling musicians, Leah is equal parts strategist and referee.

“If you think rock stars are hard to handle, try karaoke stars.”

Ken Kirkland

Bass

Ken has been holding down the low end for over 20 years, laying down grooves so solid you could build a house on them. A huge reggae fan and local supporter of music, he brings that laid‑back, feel‑good vibe to the stage, making sure the rhythm section is always locked in and the crowd can’t help but move. And if you want to know anything about tile work, he’s also the guy to ask—because whether it’s bass lines or bathroom backsplashes, Ken’s all about precision, rhythm, and making things look (and sound) amazing.

“Bass is like grout—you only notice it when it’s missing.”

Aaron Johnson

Bass

Aaron Johnson is the human equivalent of a Swiss Army knife—if Swiss Army knives could lay down filthy bass grooves and also shred on half the instruments in a music store. A lifelong multi‑instrumentalist, Aaron has a simple philosophy: if it makes noise, he’ll figure out how to play it, and if it doesn’t make noise, he’ll probably try anyway.

Aaron brings humor, heart, and a dangerously large collection of stringed things to every project he touches. He’s the glue, the groove, and occasionally the guy who says, “Wait, I have an idea,” right before something awesome happens.

“If it has strings, I’ll play it.”

Larry Brennan

Production Manager

With over 40 years of experience mixing bands on and off stage, Larry is the wizard behind the soundboard. He’s the guy who makes sure every high note soars, every guitar riff cuts through, and every tambourine hit lands exactly where it should. If the band is the engine, Larry is the mechanic who keeps it humming—sometimes with duct tape, sometimes with sheer magic.

“Every knob tells a story, and I’ve turned them all.”

Chris Rimscha

Drums

Chris has been driving the beat for over 20 years, bringing power, precision, and versatility to every performance. A seasoned percussionist endorsed by Collision Drum Sticks, he’s played across countless styles—from rock and funk to reggae and jazz—always keeping the groove tight and the energy high. With Chris behind the kit, the band’s sound is anchored by a rhythm that’s dynamic, dependable, and above all, fun, giving every karaoke singer the confidence to shine like a headliner.

“If you’re not laughing, I’ll add a drum solo until you are.”
